The second edition of Do You Speak Tree? includes a new educational mini-story as part of the book's afterword.
ABOUT THE STORY: If a tree falls and no one around cares, what do you do?
Oakie the good-natured oak tree goes on an adventure to find help. But when Oakie speaks, would-be friends become confused. The problem is that Oakie speaks "Tree," a fun visual language that no one else understands. That all changes when Oakie meets Art, an elementary student with a crayon in hand and a plan in mind to inspire the world. Will Art and Oakie save the day? That all depends... Do YOU speak Tree?
ABOUT THE SERIES: In each book, Art and Oakie go on an adventure to help their friends in nature. What makes the Art & Oakie Ask series unique is that each book is a nearly wordless graphic novel for young readers. Instead of prose, lush comic book illustrations tell the story. To read each book aloud, you and your little ones get to make up the story for yourself, so no matter one's age or reading ability, you can speak up for our beautiful natural world with Art and Oakie!
