Nonprofit Giving
Oak Tree Comics is a proud member of 1% for the Planet. As a 1% for the Planet member, Oak Tree Comics is committed to contributing at least 1% of annual sales directly to environmental nonprofits.
On this landing site, you can learn more about where Oak Tree Comics has historically donated.
Often, our donations are inspired by a theme from one of our books. For the first edition of Do You Speak Tree? and Do You Speak Bear?, we initially donated a dollar per book to One Tree Planted.
For the new second editions of Do You Speak Tree? and Do You Speak Bear?, we are delighted to continue to donate a dollar per book printed, this time benefitting TreePeople, a local Southern California-based nonprofit (501(c)(3) that inspires, engages, and supports people to take personal responsibility for the environment, making it safe, healthy, fun, and sustainable.
For both the first and second editions of Do You Speak Bee?, Oak Tree Comics has donated a dollar per book printed to the Theodore Payne Foundation for Wild Flowers & Native Plants, a local Los Angeles non-profit 501(c)(3) that inspires and educates Southern Californians about the beauty and ecological benefits of California native plants.
Our series, Thorn the Unicorn, was originally published as individual comic books. For each comic book we printed, Oak Tree Comics donated a dollar to One Tree Planted.
For the first edition The Weird Animal Hour, Oak Tree Comics donated a dollar per book printed to the World Wildlife Fund.
